The Annual EIP Conference

cutting-edge research into clinical practice

The Annual Excellence in Pediatrics Conference is EIP's flagship event that updates its delegates of the latest scientific developments and more importantly helps them to improve the standard of care they deliver on the Monday morning after the meeting. The EIP Faculty presents cutting-edge research and its specific use for pediatric practice - providing attendees with unparalleled access to frontline research, but critically with a professional translation into clinical practice. Now in its 9th year, the Excellence in Pediatrics Conference will once again be a truly collaborative event held in partnership with the WHO’s Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) Programme, and a host of other associations. Designed for the benefit of frontline pediatric HCPs from across Europe and around the world, the 2017 Conference takes place from the 7-9 December in Vienna, Austria at the Savoyen Hotel.

Spot the Early Signs Education Program

A Peer2Peer Educational Approach to Improve Everyday Practice

Education remains the number one tool for EIP in making a huge impact on the way child healthcare professions advise and treat the children and families they support. By providing the latest advice and information to just one pediatrician EIP can improve healthcare for the thousands of children that HCP sees each year. Our targeted educational campaigns allow EIP to make a positive and measurable impact in the areas that need it most and we are multiplying this impact out across Europe and around the world. Excellence in Paediatrics (EIP) believes that working directly with paediatricians is the only way to improve the identification, treatment and referral rates of children with a wide range of disorders and conditions. Pediatricians and family doctors are likely to be the first healthcare professionals to observe symptoms, and it is important to help these front-line clinicians suspect, diagnose, and refer patients.

The program aims to fight under-diagnosed or late-diagnosed conditions for which treatments are available and where early detection and early treatment could make a significant difference in the condition's development, the quality of life and the survival of patients.

Excellence in Pediatrics Advocacy Groups

Facilitating and Supporting Changes Through Collaboration

Advocacy, especially when uniting with others associations and groups, is an extremely powerful tool in facilitating changes to health care and policy. By standing together EIP’s Advocacy Initiatives aim to make the frontline pediatrician’s voice heard loud and clear. Over the past 9 years the Institute has organised a number of dedicated Health Policy meetings, Summits and Focus Group that have covered all aspects of Pediatrics from Vaccine Preventable Disease to Breastfeeding. By bringing together the key organisations, opinion leaders, association, and policymakers with frontline pediatricians we can not just plan out what needs to change, but implement initiatives that support the desired change.

The LifeCourse Vaccinations Policy and Advocacy Group: Working Together to Make Sure Vaccinations are Accessible to All.

The 2nd LifeCourse Vaccinations Policy and Advocacy Group Meeting will take place in Vienna on Friday 8th December 2017. Many organisations involved in vaccinations are aligned and partners of the meeting, including ECDC, European Commission, WHO, CoMO, European Institute of Women's Health. The ultimate goals of the Group is to increase vaccination rates across Europe and to advocate universal immunity against all vaccines preventable diseases for all age groups. The multi stakeholders meeting will discuss the latest policy changes across all European Countries, the latest surveillance data, the strategies to overcome vaccine hesitancy and the coordination of actions to take in 2018 between the various participating organisations.
